- Libraries are the only places that are an extension to people's homes
- Libraries are run by the government
- Some are more urban and some more suburban
- It feels like home because you can study, do work/play on the computer, but it is also different because there are activities for everyone
- Libraries belong to everyone in the community
- Library Revolution: no more central desk, much more comfortable and casual environment and it feels much more luxurious
- Librarians are no longer controlling everyone
- There are new functions of libraries that serve the entire community
- There are adult education centers, teen rooms, Sat. and Sun. programs, etc.
- Sitting areas in suburban ares (place to rest)
- New seating styles encourage interactions with other people at the library
- Lots of glass so people from the street may see inside
- New seating is by the glass
- New libraries are very open which makes them a public magnet
- Technology is very important
