Our new modernized library is a good opportunity to increase the importance of a library and also to improve the literacy rate in Bakersfield, California. The project will begin April 7, 2014 and we will finish by August 7, 2015. Our goal is that by the time we finish our library, this structure will capture the attention of the people of Bakersfield. To start off our project the first step is to do demolition. Demolition, site preparation, contractor mobilization and layout are the first steps that will take approximately take up two months and a week of time. After this we can begin with our excavation on June 16 and a week after excavating we can start with our foundation.
