LJ Index 2013: The Star Libraries
Number of Stars based on four statistics:
·         Visits
·         Circulation
·         Internet computer use
·         Program attendance
Pros: The LJ Index and its Star Library ratings provide a national perspective on the relative status of all rated public libraries
Cons: LJ Index scores measure the levels of library service delivery relative to peer libraries nationally. The scores do not indicate the quality, effectiveness, or value of library services, nor whether the quantities of services provided sufficiently address community needs.
